Vie Morte

The symbolic still lifes and landscapes I paint are sometimes populated by birds,  moths and butterflies, closely seen flowers, and a storm building in the distance.  Alternately, they may be interior islands of calm introspection.  On this site you may also see my figurative bronzes of people becoming trees.  The newest sculptures are cast in resin as well as bronze.  All these works are inspired by my lifelong love of and identity with the natural environment, for this sweet moist planet, rare and precious.
I'd like to be a voice for nature to speak through the language of metaphor, color and form.
